I have known one other person who is into this. She knows when her 10,000th day was and encourages others to do the same. In fact, I think my partner knows his because of this friend.
I wasn't hugely into it, but the Toronto Star mentioned recently that it was a trend and that it happens shortly after your 27th birthday, so I decided to figure out whether it had happened yet. Turned out it hadn't and all my same-age friends are having theirs this spring and summer, so it was serendipitous timing.
