Car colours

Why are silver cars so popular? Why on earth would you choose a silver car when you could have a red one? Silver is so boring, but red is VROOOM! I can see why people would choose boring colours for things like clothing or decor - you can't have everything being bright and fun or it gets overwhelming. But a car is self-contained, so you don't have to worry about it going with anything else.

I am massively behind in ImpStrump reading. But I cannot bear to miss a post. I'm hoping tomorrow is the day.

My car is silver. It's a boring car, not a VROOM car, and it would look ridiculous in red.

Maybe other people think that way too.

Also, it was available, it was a decent deal, it suited our needs, and we bought it. We didn't order it, we chose from what was there.

I've never bought a car, I just assumed for some reason you could have whatever colour you want.

I think boring cars look good in red too. I can't imagine anyone would think "What's a Toyota Corolla doing in red?" If people choose boring colours deliberately because they have boring cars, they need to join that red hat purple dress club.

(Of course, if I had to buy a car today, I'd buy a yellow smartcar, so that shows precisely how much my taste is to be trusted.)

Maybe you can have any colour you want if you order a car. But we bought one off the lot, to save money and get it immediately, so we had no colour choice.

I spent much of my high school years in a little red Toyota.
