Materialism

Things I currently feel tempted to buy:

1. An iPod
2. Expensive makeup
3. A PVR or VCR or something that can record TV shows

Luckily all I have to do to stop myself from this gratuitous consumerism is check my bank account balance, which still clearly shows the effects of having bought a computer with more upgrades than strictly necessary.

You could get a tv tuner card for your computer and record tv shows that way

Yeah, I've been thinking about that too, but it costs money too.

I won't be helpful here...I REALLY REALLY want an MP3 player...however, ipods have a special battery and they cost somewhere around $70 every 6 months or a year and your ipod has to be shipped to them at your own expense AND you don't have your ipod with you!!!

There are ones out there that have batteries you can recharge or at least go out and buy in a store...as opposed to paying for a "special" battery that is too expensive and requires ridiculous shipping costs and inconveniences.

I luv the way they look though!

So if you are humming and hawwing about it. Now you know the complications that will hurt your bank account for the rest of the time you use your ipod!
