Whoa.

Ignatieff has been more ambivalent, describing his position Sunday as "coalition if necessary, but not necessarily coalition."

Which is just what I said on Saturday.

If only I could make this trick work on Dalton McGuinty and Eddie Izzard.

Impudent Strumpet (sorry I don't know your real name):

Since my comments are being censored on WMTC, I thought I would try to communicate with you directly and provide you with the other side of the story so you can make up your own mind about Michael and his position on torture.

In fact, he opposes it unequivocally. HereHere is a link to an article he wrote in 2006. I won't excerpt any portion of it to try to sway your opinion, but will leave you to read it in its entirety at your leisure.

You don't have to worry about me, thanks, I'm already on top of things. I've been reading Ignatieff's stuff since...2005.

(I don't see what WMTC has to do with this, but anyway.)

WMTC only has to do with it because I tried to post a comment to you there and she refuses to publish them because I support Ignatieff. In her comments, you had said that you didn't know much about him (although now you say you have been reading his stuff since 2005) and thanked her for telling you about him. I just wanted to make sure that you did your own reading about him and didn't just take her word for it...

I'm afraid you must have me confused with another commenter. I never said anything like that, and in any case I'm socially tone-deaf enough that it would never occur to me to thank someone for telling me about something.

You're correct, I did have you confused with someone else. Sorry for the confusion...

I thought of you when I saw that quote!

Btw, not that you asked, but

she refuses to publish them because I support Ignatieff

is not why I banned his ass. Several of his pro-Ignatieff comments got through.
