To watch for in media spin

I hope media coverage of these speeches points out that Mr. Dion's comments were prepared and pre-recorded without his having heard Mr. Harper's speech, presumably due to television network constraints.

Neither of these gentlemen is especially good at talking to a camera. They're better when talking to actual people.

Nope. Just harping endlessly on how bad the video was, making that the story when it is not.

I'm really digging your posts on this whole situation. I haven't been leaving comments because they'd all be of the "fuck yeah!" variety.

If they're going to talk about how bad the video was, at least find out the story. What's the logistics of the PM or the leader of the opposition making a video? Does the gov't or the parties have the facilities to do this, or do they have to seek them out? What exactly happened that led to Dion's video's late arrival at the network?
