Sounds like a season to me - because baseball season is April to October, inclusive.
Baseball can do whatever it wants since it doesn't affect me. But if something inconveniences me and wants to call itself a season, it better damn well not last any longer than four months!
Heh. I guess you don't want to live elsewhere in Canada, where a season called "winter" is 6 or 7 months long.
