1. Astronaut Leland Melvin appears to have had a formal astronaut portrait taken with his big gorgeous dogs! I'd love to have been behind the scenes in that photo session.
2. Astronauts Scott Kelly and Ron Garan, currently in Moscow, found a stray dog...on a train!

Supposedly stray dogs in many countries ride public transit. I've seen pics of stray dogs on trains and buses from all over the world. They curl up on seats just like that dog is doing.
That would be so cool. I mean, it sucks that the dogs have to be strays, but I'd love just randomly having a curled-up doggie next to me on the train.
