Currently wondering about anti-vaccine sentiment
Why do people think their immune system is strong enough to fight off a whole disease, but don't think their immune system is up to properly assimilating a vaccine?
I think (altho I'm not sure) they worry that the vaccine has some other, more harmful ingredient, that will cause something worse than the disease. Plus getting the flu is not a sure thing - you might not get it anyway.
I'm not anti-vaccine at all, but I also don't worry about getting the flu. Or, as I'm seeing it spelled on many blogs, the flue.
