Things They Should Invent: a better way of folding fitted sheets

Fitted sheets are not rectangular, but all the ways I can find to fold them are based on trying to force them to act like rectangles. Someone should really come up with a way to fold them that takes into account their unique nature, but still enables them to fit into the linen closet. No, I don't have any suggestions or insight.

I hold the sheets by the corners, so that the sides and elastic are folded in on themselves and sort of go in the direction of the middle of the sheet, and fold them as if they were normal sheets. Adam and I always fold sheets together too, so it might be much harder if you're doing it alone.

Martha Stewart also has a way to do it that's (imho) much more complicated here, and I found a video when I was searching for those instructions here

Hey Karin...

My wife does that too. I try, yet end up with a haphazard pile of sheets at the end.

Yeah, same with me. That's exactly how my mother taught me to do it, but I can't make it work myself.

Same here.

My mom taught me the same thing - taught me dozens of times - but I still can't do it.

My mom's sheets come out as flat as if they were flat (not fitted) sheets. Mine are kind of smoothed out and rolled. Big, fat rolls that I try to squish down.

Hi:

I have invented it! The EasyFold is a revolutionary new product that helps you fold and store your fitted sheets and your complete sheet sets. For a video demonstration you can go to my website www.theeasyfold.com. If you have any questions you can e-mail me at theeasyfold@aol.com
